Happy Jack, by Thornton Burgess, is a classic nature story
about a mischievous squirrel and one of the most popular
and beloved animal stories ever. Delightful and charming
graphics showing Happy Jack gathering Hickory Nuts with
his other forest friends and showing an owl as the
"Receiving Teller" for "Security Storage and Trust for Squirrels &
Chipmunks". Note the running bee with a net! Marked on top-
"If you Get and Spend a Penny.
Then of Course You Haven't Any.

Eye-appealing refined carving depicting a miniature full
body Standing Black Duck on natural sculptural piece of
driftwood. The duck has glass eyes and is superbly painted
with accent paint on feet.
Meticulously relief carved tail feathers and positioning of
carving placement on driftwood. Signed, “Carved and Painted
by Gerald Robertson, Blue Hill, ME”. This carving is an
excellent example of his talent & attention to detail.

Antique Auto Wheel Roadster Celluloid Dime Bank. An unusual celluloid advertising dime bank.
It is multiple colors which makes it most appealing and on each side there is
a pictured of a wagon. Front side is marked, “Fill This Bank and Use the Key to
Happiness”. Also, the wagon is marked, “Auto Wheel Roadster” (figure 1). The back side is marked, [“Insist on the Auto Wheel, There is No Other Wagon “JUST AS GOOD” for play or profit. The Buffalo Sled Co., North Tonawanda, N.Y.”]. The wagon is marked, “Auto-Wheel Coaster”. By the coin slot it is marked, “Pat. Appld’ For”. There are no other markings on the bank. It measures ½” thick x 2-1/2” diameter. Ca. 1910-1915.
