Cast Iron Mechanical Bank. Place a coin in the eagle’s
beak, press lever and the eagle leans forward spreading
her wings while feeding the eaglets as coin drops in slot.
Scarce khaki grass variation.
Made by J & E Stevens Company, Cromwell, CT.
Marked on base “PAT. Jan. 23, 1883”.

Absolutely one of the best woodpecker doorknockers
that we have ever owned. The designer, artist has
captured the realistic form and color of this red headed
woodpecker with the back plate to simulate the side of
a tree, showing great detail to the bark.
Made by Hubley and numbered “251”.
