Realistic carving of an American Golden Plover Shorebird Decoy. This is an especially very nice confidence decoy with embossed wings and relief tail feathers with tack eyes. Added appeal in the feeding display. Signed “Rhodes”. David Rhodes (1933-2019) was a well respected and award winning carver from New Jersey. Dowel is included but not base. Ca. 1960’s. Excellent condition in original paint. Decoy – 8 5/8” long x 2 5/8” wide.
