Antique Colonial Lawyer Wood Carving Folk Art
Exceptional wood carving in the form of a
Colonial Lawyer. Carved from one piece of
wood including base. Depicts gentlemen wearing
tails with bow tie with wig. Standing with hands
out flat as in a resting position, perhaps on a desk or podium.
Great original paint, surface and patina.
Ca. 1880.
Excellent condition with normal wear consistent with age.
18 ¾” tall x 3 1/8” wide x 5 3/8” deep.
Base 6 ½” wide x 4 ½” deep.
