A wonderful large Cast Iron Deer Knockdown Target attributed to William F. Mangels Company, Coney Island, New York. Unusual form depicting deer walking with bent knee. Superb surface with dry, rough variegated paint for a unique effect. Comes with professional made stand. Actual target pictured in the book “Step Right Up!” on page 17 and also on inside rear cover. Excellent condition. Original paint. Early 20th century 8 3/4” tall x 10 ¼” wide – without stand. Rare and Desirable.
